Monday’s Travel Photos – Everyday Paris

Print pagePDF pageEmail page

We’re about to leave on a one-month holiday, cycling along the Danube from Ulm to Budapest. Fortunately, the floods have subsided and most of the bike paths should be open again. So this Monday’s photos are of Paris – just shots I’ve taken over the last few days, mainly in my neighbourhood, the sort of “everyday” Paris that is a part of my life.

  1. I just love ‘Everyday’ photos of France 🙂 thought it was funny that there was a neighbourly get together …do you take part in this type of socialising Rosemary, or is it a group of tourists just having fun? You have an energetic holiday ahead 🙂 have fun! Look forward to pics. Jill x

    1. I don’t think they were tourists, more like locals, but I didn’t know them. I’m hoping that we will be in Blois next year for la fête des voisins, because then I’ll definitely hold a party!

  2. Sooooooooooo looking forward to being back in your neighbourhood R in two days time!
    Enjoy your bike travels.

  3. Lovely to see the sunshine in your photos. I did notice some contrasts though – the neighbourhood gathering Vs the seating in the cafe, those at the outer outside tables with their backs to the cafe, sideways to each other, facing the street, the seats not even facing the table… Is that usual?
    Have a great holiday!

    1. Cafés in Paris are mainly designed to watch the world to go by so it’s very common to have all the tables and chairs facing outwards.
