Photos of the Week – Paris in August

We don’t often find ourselves in Paris on a sunny Sunday in August without our bikes, so after a leisurely lunch on the balcony, testing a new vinho verde, we went for a walk along Berges de Seine from the Orsay Museum to the Floating Gardens. I have to say we were a little disappointed compared with last year, perhaps because there was nothing new. But the sky was amazing.

  1. I like the gilded lizard on the bridge too.

It has to be said, it may have been the cloudiest and wettest July on record, but the skies have been dramatic lately.

  2. @ William and Susan: I had never noticed the gilded lizard before!

I’m glad we were away for most of July – at least we were able to follow the good weather most of the time.

    1. Thank you. We can use it for breakfast if it’s warm enough and lunch if it’s not raining. I never tire of the view … It’s a tight squeeze but we’ve got it pat now!
