JM definitely needs to join a club. The mairie will have a list of local associations. That’s probably the quickest and easiest way of finding out what’s available in your area.
The investment in Tours sounds intriguing (and a good idea).

I think he’s got plenty of plans for mushroom associations, fishing, mountain trekking and so on but he’ll probably need time to find his feet. It’s a pity we aren’t both retiring at the same time!
I need an investment to supplement my retirement (the better the investment, the sooner I can retire!). I thought of targeting the foreign student population that faces so many problems with guarantors in France. I can also help with administrative hassles.

Et c’est merveilleux de savoir que nos amis voisins très chers sont là !
Yes, that view from the balcony is stunning. Still, the Closerie suits you. You’ll be busy!
You’re right on all counts, Williams. We certainly will be busy!

Ah, I miss your house in Loire Valley, Rosemary. However, I think you should enjoy your last three months in Paris. I think you’ll miss it.
Thanks Anda, we’ll try and make the make the most of it but will be spending quite a lot of time here in August and October.
Rosemary, there will be many of us here in Paris that will miss you. You’ll need to come back for regular coffee catch-ups.
Thank you, Carina! I shall look forward to that.
