Hi Carolyn, it was certainly good value for money, especially noticeable as we went out to dinner with friends in Paris just before we left and the meal cost twice as much and was definitely not as good!

I just loved this post Rosemary. Myself and friends plan to be in Blois about August next year. When I travel o.s. with friends we always plan at some locations to have a special night/day meal as a celebration for being together. I’m thinking this will be one of those celebrations – like your recommended one I had last time with friends along the river. Bayeaux or Honfleur area is another place – any ideas?

Everybody likes L’Embarcadère and the location is wonderful as well. Jean Michel and I recently had lunch at Auberge de Launay and it was very enjoyable. I thought of you! I’m afraid I don’t have any addresses for Bayeux or Honfleur (except maybe La Langouste Bleue but it’s a long time ago). Maybe other readers will be able to provide suggestions. Look forward to seeing you here in August.
