A very rewarding year for you and it has been wonderful to follow along via both blogs.
Your new purchase is delightful. There will be many OS tourists enjoying staying there.
Below zero sounds perfect after our blistering temperatures of the past few days. Thankfully a slow moving storm dumped 80 mms last night and dropped the temperature dramatically. Here’s to a fabulous 2017!

Thank you Helen. I certainly hope that the flat will attract visitors. It’s a lovely area.
I’ve heard Queensland is getting a lot of water at the moment.
I see you’ve written about Granada. This time two years ago we were there. Time has certainly gone fast.
Happy New Year, Rosemary! It seems you had a very busy and fulfilling travel year in 2016 and you are keeping busy with your beautiful home in Blois. Your pictures reminded me of how comfortable we have been there and what a great time we had. I didn’t know that you can ‘taxi’ on the Loire and carry your bikes as well. That’s very neat and it’s good to know. Not that I would be able to bike for as much as you do, but I could have added this detail to one of my posts about the Loire Valley.
I wish you a wonderful New Year and many safe travels in 2017! Let’s stay in touch.

Hi Anda and thank you for your lovely comment. I hope, too, that being a sworn translator will bring more legal work as that is something I particularly like doing.
You should maybe try our intermittent fasting. You’d be surprised how easy it is!
I’m so pleased that your blog is going well. I don’t comment much through lack of time but I keep track of what you have been doing!
I well remember our meal at the restaurant along the Loire the first time we met.
Keep writing and let’s hope we catch up again some day.
Nice overview. I hope Cyprus and Turkey work out. Happy new year and best wishes to you both.
Same to you. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Cyprus will be a good reward for the watering system.

You were very busy last year!
We are very busy people!
No ! Thank you for the effort of writing and photographing your adventures and observations. It’s been a very easy year to read and enjoy.
Thank you Lesley – and I just love your comments!
You both look great. Obviously keeping active and busy suits you both well! Happy New Year and will continue to look forward to your posts.
Thank you Jacqueline. It is our star photo! Anything else pales in comparison.

It’s good to hear that you have been sworn as a translator for the OrlĂ©ans Court of Appeal. Hope that will generate some good income for you, but not keep you from blogging. I am amazed to see how good you are at keeping your weight in control. Good for you! I always had a difficult relationship with food and it’s not getting any better as I grow older.
I wish you a wonderful New Year and many safe travels in 2017! Let’s stay in touch.
