In fact it did go ahead in the end (it was actually a Policeman who told me it was cancelled!) but I must say it really was a very wet evening and the fireworks just weren’t the same in the rain.
The concert after however was very good (Inna Modja) but everyone was happy to get home unlike last year which was the complete opposite with glorious weather.

Just goes to show you can’t trust the police! I’m glad the concert was good. The last time we were in Blois, there were tents on the river banks opposite the castle. Was the concert held there?
Good morning, Fraussie! I hope that you had a very good 14th of July and enjoyed the fireworks from your secret venue. We were on the Champs de Mars with the masses and had a wonderful time dancing to the tunes of the 70s and 80s.

Thank you, Mary Kay, we enjoyed our secret venue. I just have to get the photos up! I’ll have to try the Champs de Mars again some time when I’m sure of the weather!
