‘Tiens moi au courant’ is an expression you hear all the time, meaning ‘keep me updated’ or ‘let me know’. The French version of my CV says my French language skills are ‘courant’ (!) (I wouldn’t have put that but my pôle-emploi conseiller said that’s what I should put.)
I notice that using ‘actual’ when they mean ‘current’ is a mistake that French people speaking English make often. I frequently hear ‘the actual owner’ and expressions like that.

Yes, “tiens-moi au courant” is a very popular expression. I think that your French skills definitely equal what the French call “anglais courant”.

In fact, to be factually correct and be up to date with all the facts, I would find it hard to be current with any of these thoughts. Thank goodness you didn’t go down the noun/verb road as well!

This is a challenge Lesley! I shall reflect upon a translation of your sentence.
