It is crowded and very hot in Provence at the moment. Nice to see and ‘experience’ another part of France. The flat sweeping plains look a lot like Australia!

Hi Jan, for once, we’re not wishing we were in Provence! I often see parts of France that remind me of Australia.
As far as the views are concerned, it’s absolutely stunning. A really great place to do some cycling :).
Thanks for sharing this experience Rosemary!

The sunset’s amazing… and I rather like the desolate feel.
The B&B looks appealing.

Enjoyed reading about your cycling trip! The weather sounds beautiful. We are currently cycling and camping in Normandy where the weather is a bit cool. We will be heading towards La Rochelle in the next couple of weeks, so thanks for your detailed info about the area!

Yes, Normandy is always cooler, though we have had some wonderful trips cycling in Normandy in the past – the Cotentin and Baie de Somme in particular. I hope you enjoy the La Rochelle area. Ile de Ré is fun too and has lots of bike paths and great oysters!
Your B&B looks very welcoming. 30C at 8.30pm is rather warm, especially to be out cycling. Well done.
Actually 30°C when you’re cycling is fine because you always create a breeze!
Gorgeous 🙂 enjoy!
Thank you Jill!
