I liked the the mechanised Christmas displays at Printemps or Galeries Lafayette too.
They go to great lengths at Printemps. I note the April 2011 one is reminiscent of the Stella McCartney (flowers instead of insects – he says resisting reference to anything beetle). You can see some of them here: http://departmentstoreparis.printemps.com/core_values/store_windows/index.aspx

Yes, they are usually pretty good. They should be up by now so I’ll take my camera along this weekend.
I like the Stella McCartney spring display you indicated. The flowers are more engaging than the metal heads!

The Christmas displays are up. I saw them last weekend but honestly I was not that impressed this time.
