I don’t think they were tourists, more like locals, but I didn’t know them. I’m hoping that we will be in Blois next year for la fête des voisins, because then I’ll definitely hold a party!

Lovely to see the sunshine in your photos. I did notice some contrasts though – the neighbourhood gathering Vs the seating in the cafe, those at the outer outside tables with their backs to the cafe, sideways to each other, facing the street, the seats not even facing the table… Is that usual?

Cafés in Paris are mainly designed to watch the world to go by so it’s very common to have all the tables and chairs facing outwards.
