  1. It’s interesting how it frees you up to skip meals on non-fast days isn’t it? Like you, in the past I would have made myself eat something because skipping meals was bad and had negative consequences, but now, if we have a big lunch with clients, I am happy to have nothing or very little in the evening.

You’re better than me, I’ve just been on holiday (seems we went to the same places…though you went for longer – we went to Vienna, Budapest & Bratislava!) but I couldn’t stick to the 5:2 Travelling with children makes it harder to fast, I think. But the beauty of 5:2 was that as soon as I got home I continued and got rid of the extra kilo I picked up on holiday straight away. While in central Europe I didn’t hold back on the cake, beer and wine front at all, so was surprised and pleased to have gained so little!
