Hello, thank you for the information. Does it have a special name or is it just a holiday? Leonardo, spending his first Christmas in Australia, thought there must be some big match on so checked it out on google!
This is very interesting and confusing…I am in the process of finding a vacation apartment in Paris for the week between Christmas and New Years…Both rental agencies that I have contacted said we can check in on 12/27 or we might be able to pay an extra fee to check in on “Boxing Day”……being from the US I have never heard of such a holiday and don’t know if they are just trying to get me to pay more….they claim France is packed with vacationers because of this holiday?? Your thoughts …Thanks!!

Hmm, I wonder if your agencies are British or Australian-based and the owners celebrate Boxing Day. Rentals are usually Saturday to Saturday in France but because Christmas and New Year have been on weekends for the last couple of years, the Saturday-to-Saturday system has been messed up a bit. But this year, Chirstmas Day is on a Tuesday so I really don’t know where the problem is. I’ll tweet around the rental agencies I know and see what they have to say! In the meantime, have you tried Petite Paris? Tell Regina I sent you.
