We went last summer for 5 weeks, driving through Italy on the way and back through Austria and Germany. 10 countries in all! We had a marvellous time. BTW I’m really enjoying your book “Head above water”. I’ve just read the Chemiloo episde and I’m just so pleased that the house in Blois is in such good condition. You should be awarded the Légion d’honneur for getting to know true French country living!
