That flower photo is lovely. A much-needed reminder of spring — as I leave this comment, it is 0° and snowing here near Rodez! That was a bit of a surprise…

Oh dear, I’m glad it’s not snowing here! Although it’s still going down to zero at night.
Wow! that’s a fairly physical day for a fast day! I’d have paid the extra and bought the gravel bagged 🙂
Small point of costume pedantry — the hunter is wearing a flat cap, not a beret.
I’m interested that he releases the birds. I disapprove of course, and think he’s wasting his time, but I doubt he’s doing much harm and if it keeps him occupied (there’s a pun to be had in there somewhere…)

JM laughed when I told him what you said about the bags. That trailer load already cost about 100 euro. The practice window is turning out to be quite an expensive business … but I think it’s much safer than attacking the kitchen window without any hands-on experience.
I’ve corrected the beret mistake.
I thought you’d be interested in the birds (and disapprove). I thought it was a waste of time too. For me, it’s just a pretext to save his eggs and gain popularity with the local farmers whose grain he’s convinced is being stolen.
