That part of Europe seems to still be shaking off the effects of the last twenty years. I do like the look of the fortress, and I’ve heard of the Iron Gates!

Well, you’re better than I am – I’d never heard of the Iron Gates before!
Interesting to hear your take on it. I think most people I’ve spoken to love Belgrade for its nightlife which doesn’t interest me and I guess not you either. 🙂 Shame you found it depressing though but the gloomy weather probably didn’t help. I look forward to hearing about the Iron Gates.

No, we’re not interested in the night life either. I could see that it would have been better with sun, but even so, there wasn’t much to see.
