  1. I’ve enjoyed seeing pics from your stay there!

  2. I was fortunate to stay with friends in Seville. If I remember correctly they offered me a choice of a day visit to either Granada or Cordoba. As I had already visited the Alcazar in Seville, my local friends strongly recommended Cordoba with its mosque / cathedral rather than Granada. I absolutely loved Cordoba and its combined mosque / cathedral. Having locals with their insider knowledge and photographic expertise show me around Cordoba made it a wonderful, unforgettable experience.

  3. I LOVE that photo of the snowman on the roof in Granada!!! But I totally get that it represents just how cold it was during your visit, and I get how that completely changed your experience. I’ve been really wanting to visit Granada after great reviews from friends. But like you said, it takes a little work to get to with no direct flights, and I’ve put it off because it seems too time consuming to do over a long weekend.

I love Sevilla too, and so far that’s my favorite city in Spain (comparing it to Madrid and Barcelona). When I was there, I did a day trip to Cordoba. That church/mosque was fascinating! So even if you decide not to go back to Granada, it’s an easy day trip from Sevilla.

And last thing I have to say – reading your posts about Spain made me really crave tostada con tomate for breakfast, so Saturday I got out that grater and made some! Turns out pretty delicious on toasted French baguette πŸ™‚

  4. I visited Spain in 1976 and loved both Barcelona and San Sebastion. As a young inexperienced country Queensland lass, it was all mind boggling beautiful and exciting.
Memories of food eaten and where, are still strong. Barcelona was my 1st paella cooked before us in the most quaint little restaurant. Such a contrast to the mutton, potato and 3 veg of the daily menu at home.
In San Sebastion we wandered through the old city and found another quaint eatery. Much laughter when we all blindly selected from the menu and one friend had a plate of raw mince with a raw egg on top, placed in front of him. Of course, steak tartare, but then……………….
I also recall our sleepless night in the lower town. The town or France had won a significant football match and the celebrating fans drove past our hotel all night.
I’ve enjoyed your visit to Grenada and I’m sure that if you had been feeling 100%, your memories would be brighter.

  6. I love that photo of the snowman, so unexpectable in Granada. But for real, the weather can be very cold there, it’s important to know that before a visit in Spain.

  7. Granada is a so beautiful city!!!
