The mystery geranium is called Herb Robert Geranium robertianum. The other plant in that photo is Ivy-leaved Toadflax Cymbalaria muralis. The ‘aster’ is Hedgerow Cranesbill Geranium pyrenaicum or some similar species.

Thank you Susan! I checked out Ivy-leaved Toadflax and see that it also comes by the name of Kenilworth Ivy. I grew up in Kenilworth Avenue so I am going to adopt that name. I bought two geraniums at the market on Saturday – Rozanne and Striatum. I’m amazed that the Hedgerow Cranesbill is also a geranium. I think I might start a geranium collection. The flowers are so varied.

The chateau is always a welcome sight. Some of the tree blossoms and flowers are quite like we see here.
It certainly is! I am told that spring and fall in Canada are quite amazing.
Aster, cornflour, dog rose, buttercups – just beautiful.
Magical names, aren’t they? I feel like I’m in a Victorian novel (except for the bike).
